Drew Holzwarth brings over 25 years of business strategy, homebuilding, and land development experience to this role.
As the President of the Piedmont Region for Stanley Martin Homes, Holzwarth led as a multi-dimensional management professional with extensive expertise in business development, process and productivity improvement, financial return, human resources, training, and uncovering and executing on creative business opportunities.
Prior to joining Stanley Martin through a merger with his company Piedmont Realty & Construction, Holzwarth launched and grew Piedmont Realty & Construction—known for a commitment to crafting high quality, earth friendly homes—into the largest and most successful privately held homebuilding company in Charlottesville, VA, in just two years.
At the end of 2019, Holzwarth switched his focus from homebuilding and Stanley Martin to his entrepreneurial ventures and Board work.
Holzwarth graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 1994 with dual degrees and later earned his MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
Holzwarth has remained involved at the Darden School as a guest lecturer and is a member of one of Darden’s Leadership Boards—the Diversity Advisory Council. Since 2015, Holzwarth has been an active Board member for two community banks and currently serves as a Director for Blue Ridge Bank. Additionally, he is a Director for Sigora Solar—one of the nation’s fastest growing solar companies—and SWEETPAY—a successful FINTEC company disrupting the online consumer lending space. In the non-profit space, beyond his role with the UVA Physicians Group Board of Directors Holzwarth is also active on the Board Claudius Crozet Park Board.
